Pro Mod cars run like 15 to 1 and spray loads of nitrous.
Id recommend 11:1-12:1 CR for a nice streetable NX motor that could be daily driven!

so if i got flat tops and then did 243's would this be around 11:1 to 12 or would i need to mill them to bump it up some more?

I would run some -2cc Diamonds with some 317 heads once the block is decked a little you should be close to 11:1

Also, you can always increase your CR by milling the heads.

that sounds like enough compression to me and that will save me a little bit of money from having to buy 243's, so and eagle crankshaft will be fine to use?

Dont forget to order your main studs etc.

I would also look into purchasing coated bearings. Calico is a great name!
Do you need them? No, but hey its worth the extra cash.

Heres a little article on what coating does and how it can benefit you.

Keep us updated, take your time with your build and do some researching. You might find some info to help narrow down brands of products etc.

that is EASILY the worst information ever posted on any internet forum EVER. Eagle has powered some of the quickest/fastest LSX cars to EVER be assembled. Fereday was the first LSX in the 7s and was running a 3 year old Eagle internal'd motor. Eagle is good ****, its more about choosing a builder that's worth a **** and can build what you need.
