Thanks for the info yall. Only reason why I'm leaning towards the 224 is because by the time January rolls around, I'll probably swap in an ls6 intake (just found one yesterday for 75 bucks through a friend). Heads are not gonna be done yet just because I can't afford it yet. BTW, he just bought an underdrive pulley today and is in the market for a TC. I don't think he'll get that any time soon, however just because that's the way he is.

edit: that video was AWESOME

gOOD luck man.If he gets some stuff done anytime soon you will need more than motor to take him.
My friend got an 04L not long ago. With a CAI and a handheld from a good tuner.Yes it matters on the L's he went 13.4@102 spinning for the first 60ft.He also let out a little early as it was his first trip to the track and didn't realize he hadn't finished yet.
Those trucks can be mean for really cheap.

BWahahahahhhahahahahahahahaha. So loyal so unknowing. There are more L's in the 9's than we have in the tens bro.
Not only that but how many radix charged trucks make 500hp or close to it and still can't hit 11's
I see it all the time and yes on this board.

Because the 13.9 doesn't apply to all trucks some COMPLETELY stock lightning have hit 13.1 before. But the average is 13.5-14.0. Just depends on driver, weather conditions, etc. Just like every other vehicle out there, different lightning run different times.

IF he bought an UDP he upped his boost ALOT! He is probably easily running a low 13 now. IF he hooks.

Remember you can over cam and then not make the power you need to get your truck moving and then your times will show. Unless you get a big enough converter to match. And hte ls6 is only gonna pull power from lowend where you are already gonna be hurting.

Take for instances my baby 208-220 571/571 118.5 cam. With a 125 shot I walk away from a lighting just a little bit faster then the one in that video the woodhauler posted up.
When the lightning sprayed a 50 shot and I ran out of bottle I had him by about 1 1/2 trucks till I hit 3rd(when I ran out of bottle) and he beat me by about 3.

i understand that but from a 13.9 to a 13.1 is pretty big difference, do you guys consider running slick, but everything else stock, stock, if so i can understand but 13.5 with 20's sounds like a good time to run in stock form.
