anything in the 23x that would be good?

or maybe a 228r on a 112
yeah those are good , remeber your going to more weight and less displacement and depending what stall size your going tobe running ! in my opinion a 3k stall and a tsp224 cam on a 5.3 avy sound really healthy !

With the trucks being as heavy as they are though, under the curve power is much more important than peak numbers. The cam that will perform best isn't going to be one that you can really brag about the numbers.

Ya, though it's not ideal on the street, I was wondering if any truck guys were having much success on the track with big cam and stall combos.

Its not bad actually from say 2000RPMs on up when the converter is locked in OD. If the converter is locked in OD and the RPMs fall below 1500, it is a pooch. Unlocked it is just fine. I now have a 4400ish converter in it so it really doesn't matter as I am always getting her into a productive area of the powerband.

Yea, I am happy with TG in the 408. Took some time to get the off idle response where I wanted it but now it drives fantastic.

Yah, cubes make the difference on cams. Imo, the texas giant is mildly aggressive on a 408, very very streetable and very broad powerband! I have a buddy with a 408 rcsb that was speced a 242/242 on a 110 for his to try and take advantage of the vic jr. That setup needs to spin high, 7200 ishh probably.
