Default biggest cam?

What is the biggest most choppy cam i can put n my 4.8 with full bolt ons 3200 circle d awd with 373? just want it 2 sound crazy and run best it can.lol tyhanx

like a 220 on a 112 is the max id go on that small motor

you could do a 232/238 109 if all you care about is how it sounds.


There's probably 200-300 cam threads right now asking the same thing so without reading any of them i'd suggest a 214/218 112

224 on a 112 is as big as I would go and you better have atleast a 3200 stall and 4.10s

There was a guy on here running a Comp Thumpr cam in his 4.8, wasn't fast at all I don't think but sounded nasty. I run a 221/221 .558 112 lsa in mine and it sounds good, under geared and under stalled but it runs ok.

so i wont have any clearance problems if i run a tr224 on a 112?

Clearance would be determined by lift, not duration. You'll want to get LS6 valve springs for anything up to a .580 lift and aftermarket cams have a smaller journal so you need 7.4 hardened pushrods
