Currently I have PRC stage 1 317s. It seems like the TSP heads are good or horrible depending on whose opinion you're getting.
Here are the supposed flow numbers:
Lift Intake Flow Exhaust Flow
.200" 147 cfm 114 cfm
.300" 207 cfm 148 cfm
.400" 187 cfm
.500" 292 cfm 202 cfm
.600" 313 cfm 220 cfm
The numbers look pretty good, but I think the ports are big, somewhere around 235 cc's. I'm wanting more power up top, but better throttle response and low end torque is also wanted.
Anyone have any recommendations, either GM heads or aftermarket? I have thought about bigger camshaft, but I like how it drives like stock now. I figure I should upgrade other airflow limitations (intake, heads, etc.)

I like my patriots and they are pretty much the cheapest of the cheap!! I am happy with them. My low end is freaking great, throttle response is awesome. The few members i have let drive my truck were shocked.

L92s are pretty healthy stock heads. IIRC, they flow 332 at .600 on the intake, don't remember exhaust. They're a bit more expensive than stock 317s, but should still be cheaper than ported 317s. Haven't heard any dirt on the L92s yet, I'm sure someone has some conflicting opinions or knows something I don't.

i run the ls3 heads from texas speed probably one of the first to put them on a 6.0 ( lq9 ) in a truck, fully ported CNCed.. i had a choice either these are trick flows, price comparison and performance told me ls3
for a everyday run of the mill head you cant beat them!!
if anyone is going to get a set make sure you spend the extra on the hollow stems and sodium filled there very light valves, wanna say 22 grams if not mistaken unlike the l92 truck heads which are heavy and seem to break at high rpms, i wouldnt trust them over 6500 rpms.. ive taken the ls3 valves well beyond 7k many many many times

For a fairly budget oriented head, I think you'll find most are and that you'll be very happy with them!
