I am building a brand new never run OEM gm iron 2011 LY6 block into the engine in my sig for my TA.
If I were to install ARP main studs is it a install and go with no further work or do the main caps need to be fully torqued then have a machine shop check to see if the block needs to be line honed.

I would have it checked before and after. With TTY and with the studs to see if they distort differently.
With out know were they are prior to the studs It's hard to say. If there already on the loose side it may need a honed with studs to bring it back in spec.
They may still be within spec with the studs but it's better to be safe then sorry.

ragga da fragga da frick. May just put stockers in it not to have to mess with it. I had the machine shop check everything just to be sure block was in spec and with OEM bolts everything checked out. I just dont feel like waiting or hassle. OEM bolt's never seem to have problems may just roll with them. Thanks for help.
