Anyone weld up a set of cracked 706 heads?

Well... the heads i have do have the little crack around the center headbolt...

Im going to have it welded at work, there's a guy here that can do some stupid amazing stuff.. Then leak check it myself and see if it works.. If so then its free.. if not... still free......

And if they are junk i will keep then as a coffee table conversation piece..

The problem stemed from perosity in the castings. Yes you can weld them if you have access to the cracked area. How ever do to porosity in the castings You may end up with another leak some were else... some of those engines have gone up wards of 60-80k miles before the heads started to leak.
Free is Free and you can't argue with that. But if they do leak later your back to square one. if you dont catch it in time you create mor internal damage. remember you can't compress water so it tears up things like the bearings...
