Looks like a simple fix to a sometimes problematic design.

looks like a really good idea to me looks like it would be easy to duplicate as well

that's gonna suck if you got to change out the timing chain.
last two pictures are kind of exaggerating it if you ask me.

Mayby on some aps, but mine looked just like that when I first put it together - I messed with it for while and made it fit better, but not great. I'm going to pull the pan off my longblock before I install it this weekend and build a "girdle" for mine ( before his patent comes through)

Yea, or they could have just made the pickup tube with 2 flanges and bolt holes.
