either my DIC is wrong or its true. I get 17-18 @ 80 mph and 14-16 at 70 MPH.

This is with 33's and 4.10's

 

My truck gets the best mpg when the rpm is around 0. Otherwise mileage is I guess what I'm trying to say is....suck it up and fill the tank.

How you gonna come on here and say I got a 418Ci, turbo, 14bolt, on 37's...how do I get good gas mileage?

 

saving money on gas provides for more money for new mods.

Just want to get the best possible thats all, after this round of **** there aint much else I can do to it drivetrain/power wise which is a GOOD thing. Then I can start working on the looks a bit more, hopefully this time next year I will be done with it and can move on to getting a house.

If you're going with 35's tires i'd go 4.10 for 37's i'd say 4.56.

With the mods in my sig I get ~17-18mpg highway driving unloaded with small hill climbs here and there. City, about 13-14mpg if i can keep my foot off it. Towing a 5-6K boat fully loaded i get about 9-10mpg mostly highway driving. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the power and torque off the line with my 35's and 4.56 gears (especially off-raoding), but i do mostly highway driving ~85% and i think if i got 4.10's i could be getting a little better MPG. Around 70-75MPH ~2200PRM is the "sweet spot" for my truck where it feels like it's not lugging or pulling hard, but has the potential to pull if i step on it.

Your running a 418ci motor with the GT-67?? That's gotta be maxing out the turbo rather fast for that size engine no? I think one last mod would be to get a bigger turbo...76mm perhaps??

 

Nope I want instant boost with a ton of low end tq and the 67 will do just that Im not worrued about top end power, I want super streetable setup that loves to make tq at very low rpm for towing and offroading.

I agree. With a 35" tire 4.56's would get it back to stock and same for 37" and 4.88's. However, with a torquey motor and a turbo you would want to step down a notch since the load would help spool it up and it wouldn't hurt you as bad. I think it would help with the rpm range as well. You definitely don't want to get too much gear under it. I think 4.10's for either would probably work and allow you to change tire size easier than if you went with 4.56's.

By the way with a 6" lift your not going to fit 37's unless your sawzall has a Big blade. So after all this rambling I guess I would say 35's and 4.10s.
