i did some research on it since ive hit 7200 rpm's a few times on my high mileage 99 LS1.

the verdict...if it hast broken after all of these years, why **** with it now??? if i was having a fresh motor built, yes, i would intstall them. removing the bolts after they have been torqued just seems like a bad idea to me...

and search around on tech and count how many guys spun rod bearings 1500 miles after doing rod bolts. im guna rock my stock rod bolts until i do a fresh rebuild.

Ok. i knew a several people revving that high but i just assumed they had swapped the bolts.

Now has anyone seen first hand a rod bolt failure or stretch that caused damage?
