Default 8.1 monster

wats up guys .I wanted to know if an 8.1 would bolt up to an 4l60e . and if i would need other parts to comptele this monster .I know i need the computer harness . would it fit in an reg truck .

Every one has 6.0 . I want something diffent .with a tune , cam bolt ons , that will haul major ***.

Your 4L60E will bolt up, but will last about a week.

the 8.1 really won't haul that much ***. Its a heavy duty engine built for towing, not high RPM racing.

this is true, the 6.0 will out perform it.

Not to mention there is vertually no aftermarket following for it as far as internals go. A 6.0 is a much better and easier route and thats why everyone runs one. If an 8.1 would haul *** dont you think people would run those instead of droping thousands of dollars into a 6.0??

tho if u wanted to do extremely long and smokey burnouts it would do that nicely.

Well thats ture about the 8.1 guys .I looked around and everyone says the same thing. It will cost more to do that swap than the 6.0 .
