The GENIIIs already ahve 6 bolt mains if you are listing that as a mod. Also good rods come with good rod bolts already. I would use whatever piston manufacturer you go withs recommendation on rings. I too wouldnt waste my money a crank at that power level but thats just me and from what I have read. Best thing you can do to help you decide is to go over to tech and do ALOT of searching in the FI section and look at the dyno lists and see what everyone is running at the levels you are looking to achieve then go from there.

Its not that everyone is greedy.. you have an s10.. you are used to little kids toys.. The gen 3 engines are not cheap. I have 2 other s10's.. and the original turbo blazer btw. So you know who I am. So I know what it's all about.
2004sss proved the limits of the stock lq9 I am going to prove the limits of a head and cam lq9 with rod bolts.
My guess is probobly somewhere around 650 rwhp.. and if you put that kind of power in your blazer you are looking at mid 10's
A really wise path for you would be to get yourself a lq4 engine complete.. just do a cam and your boost plan and run it with the cam only till you reach your limit.
Alot of guys talk about making 800 hp 6.0's and very few do it.
If you are going to do it on a budget.. like I said get yourself a used lq4 put some boost to it and call it done.. once you take a ride in something like that with boost its going to greatly change your mind as to how much power you need.
BTW if you want an un molested copy of ls1 edit. For an 02 blazer. I have one I never used it I use HP tuners and Tunercat.
I will sell it to yah cheap.

like some of the other guys are saying, 700rwhp is just a little above the limit of many of the stock parts. put your limit down to 600rwhp and you would be fine with valve springs and head studs. spend your money and time making sure the tune is good and get a good meth meth kit.
steping up to 700rwhp and you should get some pistons, if you are doing pistons you might as well do rods.
