Default 700 hp cam shaft...sound good?

So my current cam is a 236/230 115LSA 608/605 4 deg adv.

And this is when the power comes on...

Cam was spec'ed out originally to run best between 4K and 7K and it certainly was doing that, however my turbo system was spec'ed to run between 2.5K to 5K. So as you can imagine, the cam was too big to supply the turbo's low down "happy spot" and the turbo would return the favor and choke down the cam up high in it's "happy spot". So I basically have about 1,000 RPM's of overlapping conformity between the two.

So I can either change my A/R housing to match the cam (bought an .96 already and it's sitting on the shelf) or I can get a smaller cam that will play nicer with the turbo.

After talking with a number of people smarter than me (Not very hard to find really... ) this is the range that I've come up with...

Single Pattern between 218's and 224
LSA between 112 and 116
Adv between 3 and 5 degrees
And lift between .580 and .610

Long story short I'm going with a...
220/220 114LSA 605/595 with 5 deg of advance.

If you have any input I'd be more than interested to hear them!

Yeah I talked with Rick earlier this morning. He's included in the smarter people category! You and I are not included in that list. Were here as hobbyists, the smarter people are here as professionals.
(PS we should take them to sea and flip the table's on those land lubbers! )
Springs are dual so no worry there, this cam should actually be easier on my springs
I want to regain some of my lost low end TQ...remember my 2.9 second 60' times! The reverse split doesn't help with the low end of things and in fact bleeds boost off down low so it'd be counter productive. I'm shooting for as little overlap as possible. If I was spinning it as fast as I had originally planned than the reverse split is beneficial.

I have another graph that shows me at 130hp at 2500rpm's...

This is why I'm leaning towards the cam shaft prior to the A/R housing swap. I'd get bigger #'s most likely but the A/R swap wouldn't do anything for me down low...probably make it worse actually.
This cam should hopefully run strong till just before 6K which is right around where I shift. The HP/TQ should still die at about 5K but I'm hoping the HP/TQ come on much sooner, at the expense of loosing peak TQ. Which is admissible. I can still put the A/R on at a later date to see the results.

Why do you want such a low RPM range?

You're right, it does seem like you've got a mixed up combination of parts. I'd rather see the turbo system upgraded along with a loose converter and more gearing.

But for a more drivable setup, less cam might help.

If i were you, i would put the bigger housing on there. Sell the smaller housing and put a small shot on there to get you out of the hole..

Hold on cause it hits hard..
