I've had a few in mine.

212/218 pulled the best all around
Ran this cam with stock 317 heads, and stock everything else

224/230 .581 .592 -110
Stock heads and exhaust work and TB SS intake. Sounded bada$$

Swapped to L92 heads and intake - same cam setup . . .

Swapped to the TSP Torquer V2 232/234 .595 .598 -112
Just as fun, but too big for pulling the boat that I have now . . . . still fun to beat on with a 3K stall that I have now.

I have a similar application but my 6.0 is in an AWD Denali. I have been looking pretty closely at getting one of these two cams. Both of which I believe will work with the GM# 12499224 LS6 valve springs. I'm trying to do mine on a budget as most of my $$ seems to be going toward the '55 Chevy these days.

Comp Cams Part# 54-412-11 “Low Lift”
Specifics:
· Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,200-6,000
· Duration at 050 inch Lift: 212 int./218 exh.
· Valve Lift with Factory 1.7:1 Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.522 int./0.529 exh. lift
· Lobe Separation (degrees): 114
· Grind Number: LS1 XR265HR-14

Comp Cams Part# 54-424-11 “High Lift”
Specifics:
· Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,500-6,800
· Duration at 050 inch Lift: 212 int./218 exh.
· Valve Lift with Factory 1.7:1 Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.558 int./0.563 exh. lift
· Lobe Separation (degrees): 115
· Grind Number: LS1 XR265HR-15

If any one has input as to why one would be better than the other I would love to hear it.

the high lift cam on the 115lsa is going to pull harder up top and idle smoother, id guess theres maybe 10hp more in it then the other, but the low lift is going to make better power in the lower rpm, mostly going to depend on what kind of torque converter you want to run.
