Whats wrong ? we need details!

 

don't grind the heads. send them to a machine shop or use a solvent and rubber scraper to get all that stuff off. grinding them will score the deck surface because they're aluminum and they won't seal worth a ****

 

I don't know if it's just the way it's showing up on my monitor, but in the second pic it looks like there is a chunk missing out of the valve...
