Default 6.0 Lq9????

Wondering if i can use lq9 pistons in an lq4 and does anybody have any for sale?? thanks in advance!!

Yes, you can use the LQ9 pistons. Early LQ9's also had stronger rods, too. Later LQ4's and LQ9's use the same rods. Be sure to upgrade you rod bolts while you're in there.

my donor lq4 is from year 2000 does anyone know what length rod i have ??? 6.098 or 6.125??thanks in advance!!

6.098, is the stock length for them. 6.125 is a common after market rod for small block chevy's that is also used in these motor, but you have to use the right pistons for them also.

What tranny are you using? The 2000 LQ4's have the long crank which only fits the 4L80E trans.

I have the 60e but i'm getting an ls6 crank..I guess that will work won't it???

Yes it should. You are going to have the rotating assm balanced, right?

Yes it will be balanced!! somebody said i need to replace reluctor anytime you remove the crank?? Is this true?? i thought u didn't have to as long as you didn't ding or hurt reluctor!!

i think it was in 05 but when the LQ4 got better rods all 6.0L engines, LS2, LQ4, LQ9, all got the better LS2 rods
