Default 5.3l 2300 lysholm rebuild/forged

So now that i am into my 5.3l....(its a dd and tows a 7000lb trailer in summer) truck has 66k on it and the only reason i am in it now is i spun the balancer off the crank, marred the end of it and ingested a few teaspoons of powdered metal.

So it already has a lysholm 2300 (gonna go down to 3.25" pulley)
kooks 1 7/8" long tubes, 3" uncatted wye pipe and a 3.5" mbrp stainless catback, 3.5" frozen boost heat exchanger with a cobra bosch intercooler pump. 243 lc9 heads.

(before the headers the last dyno run was 427 whp and 444 ft lbs)

rear diff is a 9.5" with a detroit trutrac and 3.73 gears and winter i run factory 18's with studs (31.6" od) and summer i run 22" dub ballers with 305/45r22's (32.8" od)
trans is stock (getting a larger cooler this summer)

thinking arp head studs and main bolts
dod/afm delete
wiseco forged 3.78" with the k1 a/m forged rods

need ideas for a cam i guess, probably stick with the factory converter cause it is a dd and tows in summer... Probably will spray a 50/50 meth kit while i am at it because i think the wiseco setup bumps to like 10:1 or 10.4:1....

Amaze me - i do have a budget but i dont do things twice, the balancer was my mistake totally forgot to pin it

Put some money into the trans that's for sure assuming you're on the 4L60e still.

and any mild blower cam of your choice would be good. Don't go too big or you'll have a hell of a time moving that trailer - haha

Sounds like a decent build - but I'd recommend to go up on your bore size to 3.898 or 3.900 for stock ls1 dimensions. Block still should be plenty strong.
