My 03' had a baffle under the rocker cover which looked and worked pretty effectively. I removed the baffle and and plugged the PCV hole and installed an LS6 valley cover for my Radix install. My new rockers also dictated that I remove the PCV baffle as there was an interference issue. I had no problems with either set up. The LS6 valley breather is a much cleaner looking install and is a fairly inexpensive mod worth doing if you have your intake manifold off or plan on removing in the future.

Is there a tutorial on how the LS6 PCV system works? I'd like to read up on that. Does it vent the crankcase out of the valley cover rather than than Bank 1 pushrod holes? If that's the case you could draw fresh air in on BOTH banks and vent out through the common valley cover and then back into the intake. Now all you need is a catch can.

They went to what they call "fixed venturi" PCV which if you thing about the way the PCV system is designed to work the PCV valve can NOT be fixed. It needs to be variable and two way to work properly. If they put extra baffles in there I guess that would turn the area under Bank 1 rocker cover into a big catch can of sorts. I went to Harbor Freight and got a OIL/WATER separator for an air compressor for $8 and two hose barbs at $2 each. An other $2 for 3 feet of 3/8" hose and you've got a catch can for under $20. After seeing what you find in your catch can you'll wish you had one on there from day one. In areas of high humidity you'll also find water in your catch can(or water and oil mixed-MILKY) which is the result of condensation in your oil pan after the engine goes through cold soak.
Let me know if you do find a tutorial on the LS6 PCV system as I'm very interested to know how it works also, thanks in advance

I've been wanting to do the LS6 conversion just for the aesthetics of it, but I need the cash to get the truck back on the road first, and I do have a nice catch can....(to the right of the picture secured under the cowl)

Did you search for PCV or Catch Can?
just wondering cause this is quite an old thread.
I run the stock pcv with a filter/seperator from my passenger valve cover to the Airbox pre turbo.
