Hey was wondering about how much power a 454 LSX would produce and I guess more importantly what kinda gas mileage would I get in my RCSB truck, my 5.3 gets over 20 on the highway if any one has naturally aspirated big cubes let me know the power and the mpg!

 

I wonder how cheap you could build one of these big cubes?

 

look up the bore(piston size), crank, connecting rods and probably heads. Thats about how much it'll be, roughly. Then think about trans cuz ur gonna need it

 

powerwise. i wouldnt build a 454 unless i was going to see 600rwhp

 

u could however find a place to pull an old 454 out of. Theres a place here that has a couple laying around. They're only supposed to be making about 240 TOPS--according to the specs of that yr (about 99). That might be an option?

Single Digit gas mileage and close to 600hp i would guess with a big cam and massive set of heads

 

SLP sells the 402 with intake manifold and injectors but not the covers for about $7300 I wonder what kind of power that puts out and if that would be the way to go I still would still like to retain good gas mileage!
