Default 408 cam?

I am doing a 408 for a silverado ecsb bracket racer, race weight of about 4000lbs. This truck will see quite a bit of road time as I am 1.5 hours from the track. I am shooting for 600-650 fwhp on 93 pump gas with a SC of about 11.2:1 the specs are:

LQ4 iron block bored 4.030
K1 4" stoker crank
K1 6.125 rods with ARP 2000 bolts
Wiseco -3cc pistons

Chev performance CNC LS3 heads 68cc chambers
Intake will be a Holley EFI LS Mid-Rise Intake or similar

This is the cam that has been specified

.312/.277 lobe lift
291/302 adv
238/245 .050
106/118 centers
112 lobe separation

Still need to figure out lifters, rockers and springs.

Will this cam get the job done? Any opinions?

So you don't think it will hit my HP goals, I went with a 408 instead of a 370 so I would not have to push the motor to the max to get to the HP I am looking for.

its only .530 intake lift and .470 exhaust lift. With the LS3 heads I would want .600 on the intake side and close to that on the exhaust side.LS3 heads love the lift because of their huge valve.

I have a 237/250 111+5 that is in that ballpark on a 404 trail blazer your gonna want a nice converter I ran a high rise 102 intake it likes to spin 7200 on the shifts, I'd run Oe rockers w/ quality reunion kit, a quality dual spring kit around 170lbs@ seat, caddy gmpp lifters with new lifter guides.
That head has a decent port, the valve job is where it falls short. There is power to be had for little investment there. The cam I ran is in a street/strip truck was originally intended for nitrous, if I was gonna change anything I'd go bigger and tighten the split to 8* if your doing a na setup. Personally I'd do like a 243/251 somewhere in that area. Will still have decent drivability with a set of 456 gears and a 4500 stall
