Wow, that is cool. Would be a high compression 350 too. with the 5.3 heads

About 11:1,but you'll want to add 2.0"intake valve to your 5.3 heads.

So now that I've understood the difference...more like similarities between each engine, my question is this. Does anyone know if there would be any interference issues using the 4.000" stoke crank in the 4.8 block with the 4.8 heads. I mean I know that there are clearance issues on a SBC 383 using a 350 block....just wanting to know if there would be anything similar if this were to be built.

The 5.3L and 4.8L has a 3.780 bore while the ls1/ls6 is a 3.898. Ok so how would ls1 pistons fit in a 5.3L? The crank and rods can be the same in the ls1 and 5.3L but I don't see ls1 pistons retrofitted to a 5.3L and wouldn't the combustion chamber size be too small?
