this question has been asked many times, even by me and all i got was 6.0 swap or boost it.and i have been looking at the eps truck torque 1 cam.i have been told anything bigger than stock is just going to make that motor a slug.so i have been saving up (still)for the 6.0 swap.

Comp 265 low lift on 114 (212/.522"/.529" on 114*) with LT's, tried and true. Just installed mine in my 5.3 and it makes more power everywhere, torque is awesome from 1800 on up. Lots of write ups on this combo.

I have the Comp 212 218 114LSA low lift in my 4.8 and love it. I daily drive it and it didn't kill my milage to much, maybe 1-2mpg drop around town. It also sounds pretty mean for a small cam:

The video is pre-tune, but it still lopes quite a bit after the tune as well.

I had a 221/226 .567/.564 on a 114 in a 4.8. -3* overlap, nice blubbery idle, but works with stock converter, pulls like mad. A 2800 stall would be pretty nice with that cam too.

That thing is massive. Would a 4.8 even run with that?
