Default 4.8 To A 5.7

I Have A 06 Silverado With A 4.8 And I Was Wanting To Make It Into A 5.7 What All Would Have To Get Done To The Engine? I Know Boring It Out How Much Does It Get Bored Out? What Else? Where In Houston Is A Good Place To Take It? To Get Everything Done? Thanks In Advance!!!

why not just find a pull out ls1 from a camaro or vette? It would be less work and you can find them cheap if you look around.

If you're set about boring your 4.8L out, do a search, this topic was just covered less than a month ago.

i'll be 100% honest, using stock crank and punching out a 5.3L to make it a 5.7 with machine work was gonna cost almost 3k at LME whereas you can get a damn brand new 408 for just over 4k

cost to benefit analysis time
