A used motor is 600 if you make a few phone calls, and less headaches.

If you want a 5.3 buy a used one and play with it so you can drive your 4.8 right up until you swap, but a 6.0 swap is not much more.

I can get a complete 5.3 for under $300 easily haha

do the 6.0 with any cam you can afford, get it tuned and never look back

4.8 to 5.3 not worth it.
4.8 to iron block 5.7 with ls6 heads and cam, worth it.


to let your buddy think all you have is a 4.8 and your gona whoop his ***
with camed and tuned 5.7, priceless.
