Default 370 VS 390 build

well I'm looking at building a motor this winter I'm leaning towards a 370 stock crank callies H-beam rods Wiseco -11 dish 2618 pistons

but I've been looking at building a 390 I'm just having a hard time finding the right pistons and rods i know i need a 3.90 stroke crank what length rods would i need 6.125 or 6.200

i know the 370 will be cheap and reliable

but id love to build a 390 which will be more expensive

ill be running a procharger D1SC but i plan on doing a F1 down the road

Have you thought of going with a 3.800" stroke and a bigger piston to reach 390ci? Not much of a difference but should be a stronger set up in theory. You'll need 6.125" rods

I've looked at the AES 390 and they use a Callies 3.825 stroke crank 6.125 rods and custom pistons

When starting with an iron block you are pretty limited as to how you can reach 390ci

Kurt's on the right track with a 3.825 stroke and a 4.030 bore.

Yea 3.825" is what I was thinking of. Nobody makes pistons for that stroke besides AES?

Aes uses custom diamond pistons. He just orders large batches of them. No ine makes an off the shelf though. Not as far as I've seen.
