Motor alone (no tranny or blower) maybe $7-8k...but that cud be changed quite a bit depending on parts decisions...heads can be $1000 or up to $2500...u can go with a stock 6L crank or an Eagle forged for $600 more...tranny and blower are at least half my cost.

Then add another $3-5K for a good tranny, $2k for a rear end that will stay together and pray you have money left for people to install it!!

I go to an automotive school so i can have the maching of the block done for free...But i know the exspensive stuff is the parts...

Im not looking to get rich (althogh it would be nice) just thinking about building a 370..and plus ive been here to long im already sucked in...

The best advice I can give...that I wish someone had given me!!! ...buy a 572 crate motor and drop it in...even better advice: BE PATIENT AND BUY SOMEONE ELSES HARD WORK - CAUSE TRUCKS TRADE LIKE USED BIKES...NO MATTER WHAT U GOT ON 'EM ULL BE LUCKY TO GET $.50 ON THE DOLLAR IF U SELL IT!

Yeah Parish was trying to sell his truck last year!! OMG that woulda been something else to drive/own!

Yea, my advice.. if you get tired of the truck you build that runs 11s-12s.. put old stock stuff back in, move the motor and tranny, etc over to an fbody and say hi to 11s-10s lol. amazing what an extra 2000lbs less weight can do for your 1/4 mi.

Default 370...more updates

All the parts are in. Tranny from Schram and conversion kit from Speed showed last week. Just waiting on my new baseline tune from Nelson. truck goes in 4/16...I'll post more pix 2nite. R/

Excited to see some vids/pics and numbers! Funny how your build is done before the two other 370 builds that motivated you to build one yourself are done.

Dude I've been ntryin to get this airborn since Nov 05! Its been way to streesful! And...I still gotta deal with all the break in and tuning issues...back and forth, back and forth...thank God its on my way to work! It'll still be a month before its in my driveway all finished. R/
