Are you doing your own tuning from that book or is someone helping you out? I remember watching richard go into all these different tables...there's alot of info there that pro tuners can definetly help you out with!!

heh-heh...I was gonna buy the HPT and start myself, but it'd be years before I sorted it all out properly...I've had 3 days of pro-tuning and now I'm gonna try a new guy who seems to have more knowledge of the GM OS and all those deets in the book. The crank code has been a headache and the new blower, #60 injectors, BAP, meth, 4L80...etc are a lot to deal with all at once! It seems to tune up fine and then all the small problems seem to pop back up - the tune seems to learn then unlearn the changes over time. New guy is offering to cut his rate to use me as a test bed for entry to the truck market as he's a Vette specialist...so lets hope his expertise proves the fix! More tuning scheduled for sat am. All that said, I had 493ftlbs before dual exhaust, meth and smaller pulley...I gotta think that with those added and once the tune is clean...600ftlbs shud be pretty attainable.

back in the shop past 2wks...was running like crap and wudn't keep any tuning updates for long...leaning out at boost, stalling at cold start, crank relearn wudn't go away...my tuner was over his head IMO. Brot it back to the builder for dual exhaust and other minor mech issues and told him I didn't want it back til it ran like new! I took his SS and thats where it stands. New tuner got it monday - meth up and running, smaller pulley...etc. I hope to be getting it back soon! Doesn't even feel like mine anymore . R/

Sorry to hear about your issues. I'm running into a few bugs myself, and it's had me for a while. I hope yours get's up and running for you right this time around.

PS Still would love to see some pics of the truck.

I'll get some new pix soon...builder played the new exhaust on the phone for me and sounds amazing! Just spoke to tuner and he hasn't even looked at it yet! He tells me honestly that late next week is what I shud be prepared for - or I go back the old guy and get it looked at right away...

Ooops, sorry bout that, I'll check those out. Also is there no one else in conneticut that can help you out with tuning? I'm sure there a few members on here that could help you out or point you in the right direction. I'd hate to see you have to go back to the first guy.

This new guy will be #4 between this engine and my 5.3...nobody has any experience with the trucks! Vette's - can't thorw a rock without hitting a tuner...I really can't believe there's that much difference! It seesm everyone can use HPT, but nobody has any idfea about the OS. HPT just does patches I've been told. EFILive is supposed to be an actual OS integration type tune, but they're alot slower at adapting to new applications. Its all too much info for me R/
