so would there be any idsadvantages in using the ls2 block , its not that much more expensive and if it will save some weight im game. how hard is it to relocate the knock sensors??

There is a sponsor on tech that makes an extension harness. Do some searches in the LS2 engine section. There is a lot of info there on differences etc.

go ls2 block all the way! I sell plug and play harness's (two) for the conversion. They are 55bucks

You have to run a different timing chain setup too because the cam sensor is in a different location.

and change the reluctor ring to a 24 tooth


The L92 crank is supposedly shipped without the reluctor seated on the crank.

i am get my motor builded right now and it is going to be a 370 ci and it is getting diamond pistons and ls1 crank and lq9 rods with a set of small ported heads and when all done alot of spray

Small ported heads?
Not taking the time to port mine. I figure i'll have plenty anway.

well , now im probably going to use the ls2 block, i see you guys mentioning i need a new cam gear , or do i need a new timing cover?, also how exaclt do i get the stock knock sensors to work on the ls2 block? what exaclty will i need to chane with the swap?? will the stock oil pan work with the ls2 block??
