I just need to make sure before I pull the trigger on this. 317s milled to 68cc with a valve job. TSP 228r 112 lsa cam. Of course ptv has to be checked at the time of installation, but theoretically should it be fine? Also, will my 7.40" pushrods be okay, or do I need shorters ones? When I bought the 7.4" I didn't know I was going to be putting on milled heads.

I think you should be fine IMO. The fastest and easiest way to check what length pushrods you will need is to get a pushrod length checker from Comp, they are easy to use and cheap and takes out the guess work.

 

Yep^^^ No one will know FOR SURE until its checked.. those push rod checkers are around 7 bucks... So there is no reason not to do the job right.

 

A friend bend alot of new stuff b/c he did not check. IMO any time you change anything from stockish set ups I would double check. Stockish=GM gaskets, unmilled heads, tested cams...

 

so would you all do ported ls6/317 heads or stock L92 heads?
