Default 2nd Cam Ruined

My valvetrain with the first cam was Comp dual springs, Comp short travel lifters, Comp heavy wall 3/8 pushrods, Comp roller rockers, studs, and guideplates.
Differences with 2nd cam were LS7 lifters and Comp beehives.
The first cam took out several bearings, I drove it making noise until oil pressure dropped. This time I parked it soon after I heard the "mini ball peen hammer inside my engine" noise.
This cam has five gouged lobes, and several more have scuff marks.
I am a bad person, I am sure I deserve such punishment. Never the less, I will try a different cam company. Maybe link bar lifters, too.

I always have ran Mobil 1 5w 30. I kept topping off with heavier oil as the valve train noise increased. it seems to me like even waste oil out of my lawn mower would not cause this problem.

and seem like I would have known better, but I should have taken it apart in this order: heads, lifters, cam.. instead I took it apart in this order: cam, heads, attempt to remove lifters and drop several in the oil pan, :dumbass:

The comp I had was showing some similar signs of wear, but not to the same degree.

I've got Isky now, wouldn't use Comp again, really for anything for that matter. Seems to be garbage products.

Several spots on that cam looked burned. I'm just asking about the oil because I've never seen it in a motor with zinc. But 3/5 cases of flat cams used Mobil 1. Not saying there is a connection but it could be.
