Let me ask you guys this, could I just go ahead and throw that Z06 cam in now and hold off on putting the heads on til I get a blower so I don't have to mill them and therefore can run more boost in the end? Would I have to change pushrods or anything to use that cam in the otherwise stock motor? I would probably go ahead and install a ported LS6 oil pump and LS2 timing chain then as well.

yes you probly will need to change pushrods if u did it that way.The ls6 cam has a smaller base circle. Its been done on stock pushrods and claimed to be fine, but with a smaller base circle on the cam and stock pushrods it has to have a loud valve train.
