i run stock pushrods but our heads are diff.
You claim to have the oringinal heads from a vette which have a longer valve in them to make up the diff from the cams smaller base circle

if i was you i would run a 7.350 pushrod since your milling .040 off
Stock is almost 7.4 its like 7.39??

Ok, thanks for the tip. Yeah, the heads and cam came off a low mile '04 Z06. The cam is pretty small, but I'm not looking for a big gain there and I like my DD being nice and smooth, plus I plan on throwing a roots blower on here eventually and that cam should go nicely with it.

^Yeah, my truck even looks just like yours. Is yours lowered at all or does it just have the leveling shackles on the rear?

If I'm reading this right by milling the heads you lower the compression? If so then if your goals are to boost the motorthan it would be better to keep the stock 5.3 heads and mill them Down use a thin gasket and then boost?

Thanks

mill heads to gain compression or use a thin gasket to gain compression
Alot has to to do with combustion chamber size also on each diff LS head

idk my 243 heads have a 60.5cc chamber the stock 706 5.3 heads was 61.15
I had some valve work that ate up some cc's in my chamber they should have been 58cc IIRC
