Like ARP or just GM Bolts? and also are they going to be the Long or short head bolts going from 706's to 243's.
PTV won't be an issue with that cam, but it will be a dog down low with the stock stall TC.
I'd go with the ARP headbolts personally, but the GM bolts will be just fine. The 2003 block will have the long and short bolts.

FWIW I run a 228r cam with a 3200 stall (wish it was a little bigger stall) and 3.73s in my DD 4.8 Silverado. Very very streetable and still get 16+ MPG. With that cam and a full exhaust, stock everything else, I put down 345hp/345tq to the wheels. I don't see how that 224r cam with some good heads on a 5.3 wouldn't make at least what I make.

power is power whether it comes from a heads/cam 5.3 or a stock lq4. all you're doing is getting your 5.3 up to the potential of a stock 6.0.

Try to keep your bore size on your gaskets close to the true bore size of your motor. Any little crevice you create between the head and block mounting surface can dilute your mixture costing you a little power and causing increased emissions.
