Should work well. I have a 230/230 for sale for cheap. Regrind it for 50 and have whatever cam you want for under 300

I've seen the 224/230's make 340-350 and thats on a 111-112 lsa

The cam should put the same power down regardless just move the torque curve up or down a few hundred rpms

why u stuck on using the same duration cam as what JB used? try somethin dfferent. Besides u runnin a carb anyways. U could probably get away with runnin a cam a lil bigger than that if u wanted. Best thing is to have one speced by pat g.

I think that it would work well in your carbed 5.3 project...the tighter LSA will bring the power on sooner and allow for a little more peak horsepower, with "peakier" hp and tq curves than a 114, which will have a broader torque curve. I'm thinking that you'll want about a 3600 converter with that grind BTW.

son u still have alot to learn. Pat g only charges 25 dollars to spec u a cam. No cheaper than texas speed. Thats who speced JB current cam in his 6.0

U are correct tho about wanting to run a tight lobe of around 110. Willl work perfect with the short runners on that vic. jr.
