Opinions? Think the LSA is too narrow? Going in a 2002 Yukon 5.3... stock tb, stock gears, longtubes, off road y, jba (magnaflow) catback, and of course hp tuner

Yeh, that's why I was keeping the duration low for the torque. The reason I picked the narrow 110lsa is because I want to bring the torque in faster than with a higher lsa (114+)...

I have no problem with running a 112lsa, but I thought why not have it lope like a **** with a small cam. It'd be an intimidating factor when others heard it, knowin damn well I won't win, lol.

I not sure the idle is going to have much lope despite the lsa. It is going to be very responsive for sure. A little shorter exhaust duration would help response even further.
Please post up your experinces and dirving impressions when you get it installed.

Good luck,

Richard

Yea it still has -2* of overlap so it's gonna lope about as much as a 220 on 112 lsa. You may have problems with building vacuum with that 110 lsa though

Not that bad. I ran a 216/214-110+0* and it really barely loped. You could tell it was there but it wasnt that bad. Up top sucked bad because i ran out of gear and power band. It fell off up top but getting out of the hole was pretty cool. You will like a converter with it though.

Lope is based primarily on overlap. So a 224/224 on 112 lsa would lope the same as a 220/220 on 110lsa or a 200/200 on 100lsa.

I did realize my calculations were off though. It is going to have -9* of overlap which is equivalent to lets say a 218/218 on 114 lsa

Moddoo has one and it's like a 206/212 or something on a 112lsa and his lopes pretty damn good, even tuned with HP.

I mean to say in my first post stock TC, no TB, so sorry for the confusion.

What do you think I should run, then, if not the 110lsa? Just to be on the safe side, go with a 112? I was thinking about running a 212/218, but I thought that it would be too much duration since I have such a heavy vehicle. Opinions?

Don't know if you have done anything yet, but I think this would be a great little cam. I'd actually like to see how it works for ya. I'm sure this is a custom grind, where did you get the specs, and who's grind was it?
