for me i still drive it with dod lifters and rev it to 7000 rpm sometimes for many months now
and it sounds like a diesel car
placed order for bigger cam with ls7 lifters to end this problem and get more power

capo the comp with one bolt is 457 $ its chaeaper to buy sprocket i think
but the best thing u will have many many choices with three bolts
any ways u gonna cancel the dod and everything so just cancel one bolt cam

a friend of mine just installed a Gt-11 on this tahoe.. changed out the lifters and rods, with some double springs...

problem is now is oil pressure is under 1/4 at idle and just over 1/4 at WOT... any ideas what could've happened??

I am planning to install a cam is a 2007 5.3 LY5. I was advised by Lunati technical assistance that the original cam "may have" grooves or holes in the center journals for upper lifter oiling. Anyone here have there original cam to verify?? Maybe post a pic of your original cam.

I will keep the dod I have 475 whp and 443 torq I like dod workng with this power range if I need another 30 hp there is many things to install rather a cam shaft I just got 20 whp from 90 mm ls2. Tb. And for. Dod engine the max rpm allowed is 6400 and max cam lift is 583 other than this the lifter will be killed and sound really noisy
