Default 2003 silverado 5.3 questions

i got a 2003 chevy with a stock 5.3 in it and i wanna know what would be the best cam, headers, stall, and so on... im new to this and any information yall could give me would be a big help.. what im lookin for is to make my truck low 13s and possable high 12s,, with out a new motor..

Take a look at Comp or TR. You may not want to go bigger than a 224. 3000 stall would be sufficient. LT headers seem to be the best bet. I'm going with a similar setup, and expecting good numbers and times.

Yup Stall,cam and headers with some proper tunning and youll be in the 13's had a freind with an 04 5.3L with Longtubes,Stall,M/T Et's an went 13.8 in the 1/4

Are you an ECSB or RC or LB...?

If you have a RCSB you can hit low 13s high 12s easy with some LT headers(Pace Setter or AS&M), a TR(Thunder Racing) cam-> call and specify mods for cam recommendation, 3000-3200 stall, CAI, E-fans, set of gears, free flowing exhaust, and some good tuning for everything above.

-Oh yeah, I forgot to mention you'll have no traction without some decent tires... lol
