Any input on some good bearings is appreciated! I know I'm gonna use a tri-metal bearing.. Maybe even coated? Also some good info on a decent bearing clearance to run on the mains and rods?
Also ring gap? And keep in mind I drive this truck a lot! First thing I'm doing when I get it swapped in is heading to Lubbock for a tune and then to Birmingham

Are you going to be assembling the shortblock? If you aren't set on it, I would recommend a shop do it for you. Making an engine live at 1000hp is a little harder than at the typical 400-500hp level, especially if you want a lot of life out of it. LME does great work around there, not sure if spike (since I know you are a fan) does in-house engine work.
Every builder seems to have their preference in bearings and rings. Its more about the prep and installation than the brand.
What brings you to bham?

Toss on some out of box TFS220s and a JFR cam..my truck lights this 96mm turbine and 1.32 fast....with trailer it was full boost at 2200
Youll be happy not having those lazy sqaure ports on a heavy vehicle

Just don't use callies comp star offshore rods also buy kateck billet main caps...my callies rods twisted and broke all my main caps on even side at 900HP ,370 with 20lbs of boost. The motor was 5weeks old.

Ive actually already ordered the rods and Pistons.. Went with diamond Pistons with steel rings and some Texas speed super I-beam rods.. They said those rods will be more than good in the 1000-1500 range
