Default 1 gallon on premium and a match.

Thats what im down to at this point. Soo ive been chasin valvetrain noise for sometime now. Was wondering if anyone has heard of a lifter collapsing only occasionly? Im running a TR 219/224 601/609 lift 114 lsa with MLS gaskets LS7 lifters on a stock bore 5.3. Patriot 8501 springs on stock 243 heads that are not milled. With 7.425 PRs. Ive tried checking my length but its a PITA. I know how its just the damn tool wont let me spin the adjustable portion very easily. Anybody think i should take a shot in the dark n order some shorter PRs. For less of a preload?im thinking that I may be running too much bc when I bury the pedal and then it comes back to idle a lifter is tapping. Maybe im collapsing a lifter from excessive preload then it pumps back up. Or would a high volume oil pump work to solve it?Sorry for the novel

Sounds like you have too long of a push rod. There's no reason to run 7.425s unless
you have after market heads/rockers/lifters or a regrind cam.

I'd pull those PRs and get a set of 7.4s pronto. . . . you may have screwed up some lifters already . . . or worse, the cam.

I'd stop driving the truck, and pull everything for inspection.

Sawheet deal man...(got your pm)

I was going to say the same thing as Tootall, and also add to not waste your dough on a "high pressure" oil pump as the stocker is more than adequate in your case. I like your cam specs BTW
