Will the 08 LY2 4.8L block bore to 3.898~3.905 like the earlier 4.8, and 5.3L? Thanks J

 

Depends on the tolerances from GM. They will go that far, but have your block brought in to a machine shop for sonic testing to make sure there's enough material. On mine #2 and #6 cylinders are at the minimum wall thickness, and that's just with a stock LS1 bore, nothing over.
