Default 06 Lq9 and Camshaft question.....

I am upgrading my 5.3 to a Lq9 from a 2006 escalade

My 5.3 Specs:

2001 LM7 from a silvy
tr224
comp 918 springs
nelson performance truck harness

Will the camshaft or any other camshaft i choose physically bolt right into this lq9? was curious about yr to yr interchange and i was also wondering about sensor hookup .... i am going to running a victor jr. with a 90mm and having it dyno tuned so the drive by wire will be gone after the swap.

just curious what i will be up against changing this thing over as far as the harness and or parts interchange.

Yea your cam will go right in. Its a direct swap for the 5.3, the sensors and everything are in the same place.

The TR224 is widely regarded as the best cam ever made for the LS engines.

Yes ls shafts are all the same, put that bitch in.. Just be sure to check push rod length, some cams have different size base circles....

i just pulled the tr224 and a vic jr intake plus elbow off my setup going l92, i have a lq9 it put 402 rwhp with an unlocked stalled. if interested in the intake and elbow shoot me a pm. also has the sensor already mounted holes drilled everything even the throttle cable bracket mounted.. if you got this route you'll need 42 injectors

p.s. only thing i had 706 casting heads 5.3 stage 2's from patriot whichare going up foresale also

if you decide to get rid of that tr224 I'm interested.
what size converter would you run in a scsb with a 6.0 and 355 gears?

In an s10 or fullsize?

In a fullsize they are so heavy you need a lot fo converter to get it moving IMO. Id probably go to something like an ss3600. With an s10 you could get away with something tighter.
