i have the same truck as you, if you already have 3.73 gears, i wouldn't spend the money on changing yet, your best bang for your buck now, as mentioned, would be a real tune, lt headers and a cam. I would recommend wheatley, through personal experience he does a really good job with what he does. The other tuners have good reputations here as well though. When i had a 5.3 i had a little 206 212 112 cam and i liked it, it made great torque, which is what we need with our heavy trucks, and i was getting 22mpg hwy. Feel free to ask questions, but i would spend a good bit of time reading before you buy anything, its too easy to blow 500 bucks and actually go backwards in power.

...And, stay away from that ls6 cam in your heavy truck, it will make it slower unless you spend money on a 3000rpm converter that IMO sucks to drive with with a heavy truck. There are ALOT better cams out there for your truck than that. Good luck.

Dont mean to hijack this thread but i too have a crew cab and done some research. Ive narrowed it down to 3. The Gt2-3 cam, Gt7 cam or the 212/218 comp cam. Which one do u guys think would work best on a crew with a maggie?
