I dropped by the world products booth at PRI this year and immediately thought of you hehe -- they had a nice, trick stand showing off an exploded view long block 454 ci lsx motor...

I'd read some strangeness about having to spread silicon all over the water jacket rings to get it to seal (and the guy said it was in the instructions -- but was also for a 7 second n2o car). I didn't get why that would be necessary with o-rings and I guess it isn't.

Do you guys have any opinions on the Cometic Phuzion gaskets? They have a similar stainless 0-ring around the cylinders. I think they are also between $200-300.

I believe Kurt at Wheel to Wheel tested them and came to the conclusion they are junk.

Do you remember what problem he had with them? The o-ring around the cylinder failing or coolant weeping? I have used Cometic mls gaskets with good luck, I had not even heard of the Phuzion gasket until yesterday.

I don't remember exactly but, I'm pretty sure they didn't hold up any better than the GM MLS gaskets. Seems he likes the GM MLS up to a point and then the SCE TITAN gaskests.

The info is over on Tech in the FI section I think. I'd find some links but, I gotta go. Do some searching in that section under the username 427 (Kurt's username).
