i loved my 80. with only a shift kit i got well into the 10's. shifts were fast and firm.

in the upper hp levels i did have to keep working the shift points down to get it to shift when i wanted to. seems like at 1000hp i was comanding shifts at 5300 to get them done before 6200rpm.

Went to the track Saturday. Threw all and more at the 80e than ever. It performed flawlessly. First time in a long while I didn't have the thought of breaking floating around in the head.

Got my 80 in now and all I can say is hell yeah! this thing rocks compared to my previous five 60's so far. Should have done this 6 transmissions ago. First gear does not suck like everyone says it does.

pleased with even the dyno numbers so far couldnt see not having an 80e, no worries!

Did the switch a while ago but now with my new set up...Stock 4.8L mated to an 80e!! FEEL THE POWER...or lack thereof!

I love my 80e, the shifts are smooth and crisp. And as mentioned the gears are close
ratio. It was def worth the investment in my truck!

I am about to install my 2nd 80 in my truck, I may buy another down the road with upgraded shafts and change the gearing in the tranny
