I'm planning on installing a 0-5 volt pressure sending unit and logging actual line pressure. Has anyone done this yet?

Not ever logged actual line pressure. Wondering why? Safety? Tuning shifts?

All of the above. When I first installed my 4l80e, the tranny builder wanted me to run a set line pressure. I hooked up a manual gauge but it was a pain, sense then I have completely rebuilt it and have close to stock line pressure.. Just thought it would be nice to know. Plus I like wiring and sensors.. the more the merrier..

My impressions since the swap and a few hundred miles driving. Haven't been to the track yet so.....
Pop in with your observations.
1> 1st gear ratio difference. Negligible difference in acceleration in my ride.
2> 1/2 shift. Much improved with the closer ratio of the 80e. Nosed over with the 60e. Now just a smooth steady acceleration. Anything lost with 1st gear ratio if made up here.
3> A usable 1st gear at around town speeds. Anything above 30mph and the 60e I basically tuned out a down shift. It was a waste. Now with the 80e it will drop to 1st smoothly and pull strong.
4> A very slight drop in MPG with the 80e.
5> The shifts are just smoother and crisper with the 80e.
6> Slightly elevated trans temps with the 80e vs the 60e. Even with a bigger cooler. When the converter isn't locked the 80e temps rise quicker and higher but do cool down to lower overall temps on the road and coverter locked.
7> Probably just the shift kit setup but I've been able to tune the shifts much more to my liking with the 80e. With all my 60e's the 1-2 shift was way to firm at part throttle.

I believe I'm the only one to convert an OBS 4x4 Burb.
Deffinately the only one in Oz.
I love it. No longer afraid to stomp on the pedal and let it change with the foot still mashed.
