so can it be said that you could buy a lower model f150 and build it up better for less than what a raptor costs? would a front clip swap work in this instance for those that want the look without the cost?

I am no professional but would almost garuntee it. Not sure on the cost to do fenders and bed sides and paint. How ever function of off road racing could easily be done better i would think.

I'm from Ohio, so we don't exactly have hills to jump, other than rip around on a farm. So I'm okay with the fact that it isn't a true baja truck, but it would still be fun.

Buy a Ford when all you drive are GM's? Are you out of your ******* mind?

jk I actually like the Raptors but there just isn't a real reason to own one for the cost, when you can get a fairly comparable F150 4x4 or GM 4x4 that would serve all your purposes for much less money

Out of curiosity, can someone with a '14 Sierra (4x4) measure the actual ground clearance from the lowest part on the front bumper / air dam?

That truck just sat low and if I have to worry about driving through snow drifts then I might have to do some thinking.

If you want a Raptor get a raptor? I think they fit a certain market and do it well. You get 35 inch tires, coil over suspension and body work with a warranty.

Can you do better? Yes... But for a factory truck it pretty damn good. I would wait for the 2015 f150s, should put chevy to shame.
