Default Silverado beat Shelby GT500 at the track!

Took my 2017 Silverado Z71 5.3 to the track tonight. I got pair up against a Shelby GT500. My mods ProCharger P1SC, Circle D 278mm 3200 stall, Klug Performance tune, and a Black Widow 250 custom cat-back. Launched the truck at 1500rpm in 4wd and ran a 12.74 @ 106.51 with a 1.81 60ft. The GT500 was stock soft launch and said he missed 3rd. He ran a 13.01 @ 113.46 with a 2.48 60ft. I did hold him off in the end.

Thanks man. I was so surprised how this race went. I will say this with a good driver that car would beat my truck no problem. It doesn't matter how much horsepower you have if you don't know how to use it. See it all the time at the track with cars like this. I am very glad I got it on video lol.

He should be taken out and shot lol. Started pulling hard at the 330 and missed 3rd at the 1/8 looks like. Think about it, on the street it would've been way worse!!! Great kill brother!
I remember a little awd 4cyd turbo something or other leaving me spinning at a light in my c5 z. Got out and in the gas twice couldn't hook and he killed me. I was totally helpless and it was so funny to watch him pull away. My turbo truck though killed a c6 z with drag radials at the track. That was rewarding...gotta love a 4wd on the track or street!

My PB? Back in July we got some cooler air in the lower 70s upper 60s and the DA finally got around 1000 and I made my first two 12.7 passes. Here is a video of my first 12.7 pass. No changes at all to the truck other than cooler weather. Recently we added more torque management because since the supercharger was put on it was over shooting my shift points so I am at 85% at the first shift, and then at 70% for all the other shifts and it is shifting right where I want it to. Obviously the torque management is not effecting my times it would appear lol. Other than that no changes to the truck.

I'd be one embarrassed SOB if I was driving the Mustang.

When we got back in the pits we were talking and his friends were giving him so much **** about it. He said he would never hear the end of it. Toward the end of the night he got a lot better and his best pass was a 11.95 which is a far cry of his 13.01 against me.
