Thanks guys- I'll certainly check that.

Edit; I checked that, clips are the same front and rear, also put on the new Delco Gold ceramics they're smoother but I still get grinding when apply brakes. Also ensured correct pad placement with squealer pad inboard pointing rearward. drove slowly by a wall and hear what sounded like marbles gnashing around, something not hearable with window up. Concluded it's the wheel/ hub bearing- gonna get a new one tomorrow.......

Well that was, guys, Took off the original and it was slightly grainy/ grinding feeling. I brake parts cleaned and tooth brushed that little dirt at the bottom and smeared in some brake caliper grease in there. What a difference, even gas mileage is better............

Wait, what? You discovered the wheel bearing was bad and you cleaned and put some grease in there?

Please tell me I'm reading you wrong.. you replaced the bearing, right?

Whew.. had me worried there for a moment

This sealed unit bearing mess is such a scam, but it's what we have, so we live with it and replace as needed. Or, end up like this at the tow yard

Just did these a few years ago on my wife's '06 SS. We each have our own trucks so I never drive hers, and she was sharp enough to notice it didn't sound right when she left the house one day, turned right around and told me. Pretty sure it wasn't long before it would let go. Seal on the back had rotted out so it was open to the elements.
