No, that port goes into the valley of the engine.

No that just goes into the air box.

On that nipple you ORIGINALLY circled NOT THE ONE IN THIS PICTURE.. that little hose that connects to it (THE VALLEY NIPPLE) connects to the intake manifold. You can spray it in that hose or spray it in the nipple that the hose connects to on the intake.

This is what I use on mine.

Another view of the tool in use

We have an injector cleaner tool here at the shop, you fill it with cleaner and pressurize it with an air line from an air compressor. Then attach the s tool and stick it in the intake tube and slip the tube back over the throttle body and run it.

Some places call it a touchless throttle body cleaner. It's the best way because you pressurize the can to about 50psi and the little S tool tip atomizes the cleaner really well.

If you can't find a shop that has that setup do that spray it through that hose. Or if you don't have a compressor and don't want to buy the tool.

I posted up a pic of my intake valves with around 117k miles on it in another thread, and I had done the cleaner I think it was the week before. Only problem is I don't know if they looked any worse before the cleaning. It did idle a little smoother after though.

Run the idle up to 2000-2500 or so while doing the cleaning

The hose I referred to was the hose that is off the truck in that first picture that you circled the nipple on, if the hose was still on the truck in that pic, it would be that hose you sprayed the cleaner in, or the nipple the hose connects to on the intake. Just don't spray it in the circled nipple because that's the valley cover, but the hose that connects to that nipple goes to the intake manifold.

This is where I'm lost- the nipple goes to the intake muffler- I'll try and get a top shot- and hence, the throttle body. The hose goes to the valve cover, both sides have a hose like this, looks like a good spot to pipe a catch can to...…….

I think you're mixing up things. The hose that runs on the driver side of the intake from the valley cover to the side of the intake and plugs in right in the middle of the intake is where you need to be.

That nipple has a big round thing on it instead of just being a nipple because inside the intake is a metal pipe that comes off of that nipple. It's weird but here's a pic of the inside of the intake you can see the metal pipe. The other end of that pipe is the nipple halfway down the driver side of the intake.

BUT THE BEST PLACE TO DO IT THROUGH IS THE THROTTLE BODY or some through the port and throttle body for the most even distribution.
