Default New Truck

Hey guys, been over on LS1tech for a while now because of my GTO. Just picked up this beauty a little while back.

It's a Crew Cab with the 5.3 and the color is Blue Granite. It's been used already by AFE for research and development so I'll post up some Dyno Sheets later. I have to admit how suprised I was at how good this little 5.3 pulls. Chevy has come a long way since my last truck (2004).

Thanks brother, my old truck was charcoal gray, and my GTO is black so i definitely wanted a lighter, more user friendly color.

Took her to the local 1/8 mile track last week (Irwindale for the CA folks).

Best time was a 9.78 @ 72 MPH with a 2.2 60ft. Only mod is the AFE CAI, this was on 87 octane with the stock all season Good Years set at normal tire pressure. Oh yeah, this truck has the granny 3.08 rear gear in it. I don't really know if that time is good for a bone stock crew cab. Had a lot of trouble getting it to not spin. I'd love to throw a set of DR's and see what it would do.

I can totally respect a 9.78 1/8th in that truck especially with that 3.08 gear!!

That gives me a lot of hope with my RCSB!

Great looking truck by the way, I absolutely love that color!

Yeah, your RCSB should be a lot quicker especially if you have the 3.42 gear. I'm waiting to get low on this tank of 87 and do two fill ups with e85 and run it again with the only difference being the fuel. Hopefully I'll pick up a little bit.

Oh, I'll bet you will ... E85 rocks.

And I agree with the others that you've got a great looking truck, that color is outstanding.

X2 congrats on the good looking ride. How does the 3.08's feel in stop and go, normal daily driving?
